NSA 2025 Objectives

  • Navigate the current insurance reimbursement landscape and emerging trends in Alabama, including understanding state-specific policies, managing payer relationships, and optimizing reimbursement for neurosurgical procedures.
  • Analyze the impact of hospital mergers in Alabama on neurosurgical practice, including changes in healthcare delivery, patient access to care, reimbursement structures, and the implications for clinical decision-making and practice management.
  • Implement strategies to enhance collaboration and communication between neurosurgeons and advanced practice providers (APPs), fostering a cohesive team environment that improves patient care, streamlines workflows, and optimizes outcomes in neurosurgical practice.
  • Identify the latest advancements in brain surgery, spinal surgery and trauma surgery including new surgical techniques, cutting-edge treatments, and improved intraoperative technologies, to enhance patient care and surgical outcomes in functional neurosurgery.
  • Apply key insights and lessons learned from the experiences of a high performing military unit including decision-making in high-pressure environments and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Determine and set goals for their practice of neurosurgery with purpose.
